I'm author ELLE STRAUSS and welcome to my website.
I write fun, lower Young Adult (teen) fiction to do with whimsical things like time-travel, fairies and merfolk (with a nice helping of romance!) When my serious side peeks out, she's called LEE STRAUSS. She likes to write upper YA/adult about romance in the past, present and future.
There's always a TIME for romance!!
This blog is about books, mine and other fab authors', but occasionally I'll share about other topics. Thanks for dropping by!

Friday Four or Five
Ambition and Perception are currently free, but the box set costs less than buying Volition and Contrition separately. And I love how all the bright covers look tucked into each other like that!
2. What's happening with EAST OF EDEN you ask? Well, I decided to push the release date back a month. It wasn't quite ready and I didn't want to rush things. East of Eden is a family drama with a strong romantic thread. ARCs are now available so if you'd like a copy to review, just let me know. I'm really excited to get this book out. It's my only backlist book, meaning it was once published traditionally. In German. I'm happy to finally get a much revised English version out.
3. Beautiful fall weather here in Saxony. Enjoyed a lovely bike ride along the river Elbe today. I love the city of Dresden and many points of interest show up in the first two books of the MINSTREL SERIES- launching January with the first book, SUN & MOON. This series is contemporary romance. Sun & Moon is in the hands of my editor right now!
4. Working hard on book 2 in the Minstrel Series, FLESH & BONE. I really love Sun & Moon, so I'm surprised at how much I'm loving this one, too. It's a companion book sharing the same setting but with new characters we meet briefly in book 1. I'm already planning and outlining the 3rd book, HEART & SOUL. Can you tell I'm stoked about this series?
5. In less than 2 weeks I move back to Canada for three months. I'm on a three month rotation due to visa restraints. My husband is a citizen in both countries so he doesn't have to worry, and he'll meet me back in Canada a few weeks later. I can't believe how fast the three month stints go. I think writing and publishing hard makes the time fly. I'm looking forward to getting back and seeing my kids again. Also on getting back on PST.
What about you? What are you working on these days?
