Contest is now closed. Congratulations to Nancy who won Playing with Matches and Perception!
When I heard about this blog hop I knew I just had to join. I have books that are based BOTH in the past and the future!
My Clockwise Series books feature time travels to the past and CLOCKWISE is already FREE, so if you don't have your copy just click the icon on the list to the left of this post.
For the Back to the Future Blog Hop, I'm giving away an ecopy of PLAYING WITH MATCHES ( the past) and an ecopy of PERCEPTION (the future).
Emil Radle is a dedicated member of Hitler Youth. He's loyal to
the Fuehrer before family, a champion for the cause and a fan of the
famous Luftwaffe.
When his friends
Moritz and Johann discover a shortwave radio, everything changes. Now
they listen to BBC broadcasts of news reports that tell both sides. Now
they know the truth. The
boys, along with Johann's sister Katarina,
band together to write out the reports and covertly distribute flyers
throughout their city. It's an act of high treason that could have them
arrested--or worse.
As the war
progresses, so does Emil's affection for Katarina. He'd do anything to
have a normal life and to stay in Passau by her side. But when Germany's
losses become immense, even their greatest resistance can't prevent the
boys from being sent to the Eastern Front.
For Katrina's sake, and for his family, Emil hopes he will survive the battle. He knows they've already lost the war.
Seventeen year old Zoe Vanderveen is a GAP--a genetically altered
person. She lives in the security of a walled city on prime water-front
property along side other equally beautiful people with extended life
spans.
Her brother Liam is missing.
Noah Brody is a natural
who lives on the outside. He leads protests against the GAPs and detests
the widening chasm they've created between those who have and those who
don't. He doesn't like girls like Zoe and he has good reason not to
like her specifically.
Zoe's carefree life takes a traumatic
turn. She's in trouble and it turns out that Noah, the last guy on earth
she should trust, is the only one who can help her.

I'm author ELLE STRAUSS and welcome to my website!
I write fun, lower Young Adult (teen) fiction to do with whimsical things like time-travel, fairies and merfolk.
When my serious side peeks out, she's called LEE STRAUSS. She likes to write upper YA about real things that have happened in the past, or made up things that could quite possibly happen in the future.
This blog is about books, mine and other fab authors', but occasionally I'll share about other topics.
Thanks for dropping by!

I think I like both pretty equally. I love some of the things about the past (I mean if I can learn something that will help me ace ,y history exam that's just a bonus) but I really like reading about the future too, because the worlds that authors create are pretty awesome!!
ReplyDeleteBoth are good but I like futuristic novels more. :)

ReplyDeleteI do love history, but don't really consider myself a "history buff" - I remember the stories, but not the dates things happened. I love learning new things about American history and also history from other countries though.
